Noodlehead Pepin Tote

Buy the Pepin Tote sewing pattern from Noodlehead. This is a simple tote bag designed with a few optional add-ons. But even if you choose not to add them, it is beautiful and useful as is. The pattern features a front pocket with an optional snap closure, divided interior pocket, optional magnetic snap top closure, and optional recessed zipper closure. So many possibilities!

NOTE: No printed pattern pieces are included. Rotary cutting instructions/measurements are provided instead, as all the pieces are rectangular (just cut and sew, no pattern pieces needed).

Suggested fabrics: Canvas or waxed canvas (7-10 oz.) for exterior fabric. If using waxed canvas, reduce interfacing to 1 1/4 yd and do not interface waxed canvas pieces. Quilting cotton for lining.

Fabric requirements: 44″ (1.1 m) wide fabric: Exterior fabric, 1 yd (91.4 cm)* // Lining fabric (includes interior pocket), 2/3 yd (61 cm).

* If using non-directional exterior fabric, reduce to 2/3 yd (61 cm). Because of the tote's exterior construction, one-way directional prints are NOT recommended for the exterior fabric.

Sizing: Approx. finished dimensions: 13 1/2" W x 12" H x 4" D (34.3 cm x 30.5 cm x 10.2 cm).

Notions: 2 yd (1.9 m) of fusible woven interfacing (20"/51 cm wide); two 28" x 1" wide (71.1 cm x 2.5 cm) leather straps or cotton webbing for handles // Optional: one 3/4" (18 mm) magnetic snap for top closure; one size 24 metal snap for front pocket; one 20" (51 cm) zipper for recessed zipper closure.
