Buy the Greenbrier Dress sewing pattern from Sew Liberated. The Greenbrier Dress is the definition of ease. Ease in sewing, in wearing, and in styling. A dress you can throw on and feel confident in no matter where the day takes you or what the season.

The Greenbrier Dress has a self-lined bodice, princess seams, dramatically gathered grown-on sleeves, a high waist with a gathered skirt, and in-seam pockets that are anchored in the waist seam. The skirt has two length options: just below or just above the knee.

View A is an easier sew, with rouleau neck ties and uncuffed sleeves. View B has rouleau button loops on the front closure and cuffed sleeves.

Sewing level: Confident beginner / Intermediate

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Light to mid-weight woven with moderate drape, such as rayon challis, cotton poplin, chambray, viscose, silk charmeuse, or linen, with no stretch. Cotton poplin is recommended for beginners. Suggested weight range: 3-5.5 oz. (102-190 gsm).

Fabric requirements: If your chosen fabric is directional, has a nap, or for design matching, extra fabric may be required.

54" (137 cm) wide fabric: Above knee, 3.4 - 4.2 yd (3.1 - 3.9 m) // Below knee, 3.5 - 4.35 yd (3.2 - 4 m).

45" (114 cm) wide fabric (sizes 0-24 only): Above knee, 3.8 - 4.1 yd (3.5 - 3.75 m) // Below knee, 4 - 4.25 yd (3.7 - 3.9 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 34 (approx. UK 6/8 – 32/34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

The pattern is drafted for a height of 5'5" (165 cm) and a dressmaker's cup size C.

Notions: 0.5 yd/m of lightweight fusible interfacing // View B only: five or six 3/8" (1 cm) buttons with shanks.
