Sew Liberated Retazo Coat and Vest
Buy the Retazo Coat and Vest sewing pattern from Sew Liberated. Wrap yourself in a shapely quilt coat that's a testament to your can-do spirit. Using the quilt-as-you-go method, each panel is pieced and quilted individually, then cut out and assembled into the coat or vest. Or you can use a thrifted quilt or pre-quilted fabric instead.
Retazo features a curved collar, princess seams at the front and back, and deep pockets on the side front panels. The coat has two-piece raglan sleeves with faced hems, and the vest has faced armholes. There are two length options: long (finishes just above the knee) and mid (finishes at the low hip).

The pattern is drafted for a height of 5'5" (165 cm) and a dressmaker's cup size C.
Notions: 0.5 yd/m of lightweight fusible interfacing; five to nine 3/4" (1.9 cm) sew-on snaps; 4.5 yd (4 m) of 2" (5 cm)-wide bias strips (for hem facings and pocket openings, the designer suggests making your own from your contrast fabric).
